We operate a dedicated hard drive shredder within our secure processing facility, as well as a mobile shredding unit mounted within one of our specialist vehicles. This allows us to destroy media either at our premises or directly at the customer's location, maintaining complete chain of custody throughout the process.

ADISA Certified Destruction

All shredding and hole-punching equipment used by Technimove Recycles is ADISA certified and operates to MOD destruction standards. This ensures data-bearing media is physically destroyed to a recognised and auditable security standard suitable for both commercial and government environments.

Multiple Destruction Methods

Our industrial shredders can reduce media to particle sizes as small as 7mm (7 Mil), with the standard destruction size being 20mm (20 Mil). In addition, we utilise specialist hard drive hole-punching equipment that permanently damages critical components of the drive, rendering it unusable and preventing data recovery.

Full Audit & Verification

Every hard drive is audited, asset tagged and recorded before destruction takes place. Following shredding or punching, all media is physically inspected by trained technicians to verify that destruction has been successfully completed. Detailed Certificates of Destruction and audit reports are then produced for customer records.

Our Hard Drive Shredding Process

Security, compliance and accountability are at the heart of our hard drive destruction service. Every device received by Technimove Recycles is first entered into our asset management system and audited against customer inventories. Serial numbers, asset references and media types are recorded, creating a complete chain of custody before any destruction activity begins.

Once authorised for destruction, hard drives are processed using either our ADISA-certified shredding equipment or our certified hole-punching systems, depending on customer requirements. Our shredders are capable of producing destruction sizes down to 7mm (7 Mil), although the most commonly requested standard is 20mm (20 Mil). Both methods operate in accordance with MOD destruction requirements and ensure that data can no longer be recovered.

Following destruction, all output material is inspected by trained personnel to confirm that the drive has been destroyed to the required standard. This additional quality assurance step provides customers with confidence that every asset has been processed correctly and that no intact media remains.

For organisations requiring on-site destruction, our mobile shredding vehicle allows media to be destroyed at the customer's premises without leaving their control. Customers may witness the process if required, providing immediate assurance that assets have been permanently destroyed.

Where requested, Technimove Recycles can return the shredded raw material to the customer following destruction. Alternatively, materials can enter our recycling process, ensuring that valuable resources are recovered in an environmentally responsible manner.

Every destruction project concludes with the issue of detailed audit reports and Certificates of Destruction, providing complete evidence of the process undertaken, the destruction method used and the final outcome for each asset.
